Writes the curator:

Tiziana Sanna's paintings have as their main source of inspiration unspoiled and wild nature, animals that live free, in their natural state, most of which are at risk of extinction: tigers, lions, leopards, jaguars, rhinos, elephants.

In the last century, their populations have been significantly reduced: poaching, illegal trade, habitat loss due to the expansion of human settlements are the main threats to the conservation of these species, of which there are few specimens today.

The artist takes the visitor on a fantastic journey into nature, into distant exotic lands, into the jungle, into the savannah, to meet these wonderful creatures.

The large size of the canvases, the shots that enlarge the muzzle and focus attention on the gaze, give the viewer the impression of really being in front of the animal, of watching it come out of the canvas and establish contact.

Behind the realistic representation of each subject there is a meaning, a deeper message: it is not a simple imitation of nature, it is contemplation, celebration, an invitation to reflect on the precariousness of the life of these extraordinary species and on the measures to be taken to avoid their disappearance.
